Mural of Kobe Bryant, daughter Gianna painted on Taguig court 1 year after tragic accident

A mural of Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna have been painted on the Tenement basketball court in Taguig City ahead of their first death anniversary on January 26.

The pair died along with seven other people last year when their helicopter crashed on the hills of Calabasas, California amid foggy weather.

Kobe, 41, and Gigi, 13, were on their way to a basketball game when the tragedy occurred, shocking the NBA and the sports world.

Several murals have been painted

in the Philippines in the aftermath of the accident to honor the basketball legend and his promising young daughter.

A black and white artwork of Kobe and Gianna's photo from the final All-Star Game appearance of the Lakers superstar was painted last year in Taguig City.

Another mural was created in a barangay basketball court which Kobe visited in one of his trips to the Philippines.
