Former PBA chairman Ber Navarro dies at 81

Bernabe "Ber" Navarro Jr., a longtime Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) official, has died. He was 81.

The league on Thursday announced that Bernabe, who also served as team manager of the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel franchise, passed away last Tuesday, May 25.

He is survived by wife Virginia and children Dada, Joy Ng, and Beng Feliciano.

Bernabe was the team manager of Ginebra in the early '90s when they were still called 'Añejo Rum'—an era where legendary cager Robert Jaworski was still calling the shots as the playing-coach.
