Report: Mavs star Luka Doncic to play in Game 4 vs. Clippers

Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic is expected to play in Game 4 against the visiting Los Angeles Clippers despite his neck strain, ESPN reported.

The fifth-seeded Mavericks have a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven first-round Western Conference series.

Doncic, listed as questionable with a cervical strain, played through the discomfort during Friday night's 118-108 loss in Game 3 and finished with 44 points, nine assists and nine rebounds.

The 22-year-old point guard is averaging 38.0 points, 9.0 assists and 8.7 rebounds in the series.

Doncic said he began experiencing pain in his neck near halftime and the pain traveled down his left arm.

"It's just weird," he said Friday night. "Just some massage, some ice and hopefully it will be good." — Reuters/Field Level Media
