Alaska injects more youth to its roster as rookies Ilagan, Stockton sign with Aces

Signed and sealed.

The Alaska Aces are banking on the youth after rookies Alex Stockton and RK Ilagan finally reached a deal with the franchise ahead of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Season 46 pegged to open either in late June or early July.

The franchise welcomed the two young guns on Friday after Alaska posted on Instagram their separate signings with team manager and board governor Richard Bachmann.

Stockton was the Aces' 21st pick from this year's Rookie Draft while Ilagan was selected in the third round with the no. 31 pick.

Both the rising cagers are tipped to deliver goods for the Aces as Stockton was a key cog for the Far Eastern University in the UAAP and has made positive impressions in his first few training sessions with the team.

Ilagan, a sweet-shooting 5-foot-7 guard, was also an essential piece for the San Sebastian College in the NCAA and is tipped to be under the guidance of veterans JVee Casio, Jeron Teng, and Mike DiGregorio.

Prior to signing Stockton and Ilagan, the Aces have already come to terms with big man Ben Adamos and Filipino-American playmaker Taylor Browne.

Aces finished the previous conference with an impressive 7-4 win-loss card but bowed out of contention against Talk 'N text in their quarterfinals clash.
