Rain or Shine lights it up in 4th, escapes gritty Terrafirma

A fourth quarter run propelled Rain or Shine past Terrafirma, 83-77, to snap a two-game losing skid in the 2021 PBA Philippine Cup Sunday at the Ynares Sports Arena.

The Elasto Painters trailed almost all throughout the contest but a free throw by team captain Gabe Norwood in the fourth quarter, 68-67, gave them their first taste of the lead since the 11:42 mark of the first canto.

Norwood then followed it up with back-to-back triples, 74-67, while Mark Borboran knocked down a three-pointer of his own as the Elasto Painters widened the gap, 76-67.

Adrian Wong drained another three before Terrafirma scored five straight points to trim the deficit, 83-75, but Elasto Painters held their own to close out the game.
