UAAP Season 82 MVP Soulemane Chabi Yo parts ways with UST to play in Europe

Big man Soulemane Chabi Yo, the Most Valuable Player of UAAP Season 82, is parting ways with the University of Santo Tomas (UST).

Chabi Yo is making his exit from the España-based squad to play in Europe. Head coach Jinino Manansala confirmed the development to GMA News Online on Monday.

"On our part, we are grateful for his playing years with us and wish him the best in his international basketball career," Manansala said.

Manansala, however, said Chabi Yo has not yet named the new team he will be playing with.

Chabi Yo was integral in UST's Season 82 campaign, averaging 16.93 points and 14.71 boards per game in the elimination round. UST settled for a bridesmaid finish in the Season 82 finals.
