Cariño, Aomori suffer 33-point loss against FE Nagoya; Juan GDL's Earthfriends still winless in 13 games

Kemark Cariño and his team, the Aomori Wat's, suffered a big loss against the Toyotsu Fighting Eagles Nagoya, 82-49, in Japan B.League Division 2 (B2) on Sunday.

Nagoya limited Aomori to just six points in the second period to extend their lead to 20, 43-23, at the end of the first half. Aomori had a hard time catching up from there and they were handed a seventh straight defeat.

Cariño was limited to five markers and three boards in 17:48 minutes of action.

Jeremy Jones led Nagoya with 18 points and six rebounds.

In a meeting between the same two teams on Saturday, Aomori also lost to Nagoya, 101-64.

Aomori (1-12) will play the Sendai 89ers next weekend.

Meanwhile, Juan Gomez de Liaño and the Earthfriends Tokyo Z remained winless in 13 games after another defeat against the Koshigaya Alphas, 76-55.

De Liaño only recorded an assist and a steal in 17:42 minutes of play.

Jonathan Octeus led the Alphas with 15 points in the win.

The Alphas also defeated Earthfriends on Saturday, 91-80.

The Earthfriends will try to barge into the win column when they meet the Ehime Orange Vikings on Friday and Saturday.
