No live audience yet as PBA sets Governors Cup opener on December 8

The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) will have no live audience yet as it opens the reinforced conference Governors Cup on December 8.

According to an update on its website Monday, the first two games of the conference which will be played in the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City, will have no live fans yet as the league continues to talk with different local government units (LGU).

"Kasalukuyan tayong nakikipagusap mga LGUs at tayo ay umasa na mapagbibigyan ang ating kahilingan na pahintulutang makapasok at makapanood ang ating mga fans ng laro," Marcial said in a statement.

(We are currently talking with LGUs and we are hoping that they will grant our request to allow fans to watch the games.)

Aside from Ynares Sports Arena which currently holds the 3x3 tournaments, the league eyes the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Ynares Sports Center in Antipolo City, and FilOil Flying V Arena in the City of San Juan as venues for the reinforced conference.
