Mikawa deals Kiefer Ravena's Shiga heartbreaking loss in rematch

Kiefer Ravena and his Shiga Lakestars squad were dealt a heartbreaking defeat, 93-91, on Sunday as they suffered a sweep from the SeaHorses Mikawa this weekend in the Japan B.League.

The Lakestars were up 91-89 with less than a minute left before the SeaHorses' Davante Gardner made two late shots that handed them the victory.

Mikawa also defeated Shiga, 108-71, in a blowout on Saturday.

Ravena tried to steal the win with a triple in the endgame but failed to do so. The Lakestars were leading 48-45 at the end of the first half.

The Filipino registered 15 points, six rebounds, and seven assists in today's game, while Novar Gadson and Sean O'Mara chipped in 22 points each in their seventh straight loss.

Gardner finished with 35 points, while Anthony Lawrence II made 29 points in the Mikawa win.

The Lakestars, with a 10-24 card, will see action on Wednesday when they play Shimane Susanoo Magic.
