Gilas Pilipinas settles for bronze in men's 3x3, women's team falls short of podium finish

Gilas Pilipinas 3x3 failed to defend their titles in the 31st Southeast Asian Games in Vietnam on Saturday.

The men's squad settled for bronze after defeating Indonesia in the match for third place, 14-10.

Represented by the PBA 3x3 team Limitless Appmasters, the Gilas 3x3 team fell to Thailand, 21-17 in the semifinal match. The national team ended the pool round with a 4-2 record in the biennial meet.

Meanwhile, the Gilas Pilipinas women's 3x3 team fell short of a podium finish after losing to Indonesia, 16-10, in the bronze medal match.

The Gilas women ended the elimination round with a 3-3 record.

The two teams both won the gold medal in the 2019 edition of the SEA Games held in the country.
