The TNT Tropang Giga continued their run in the 2022 PBA Philippine Cup as they defeated NorthPort Batang Pier, 117-112, to notch their fourth straight win on Wednesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

TNT led by as much as 13 points early in the fourth period before NorthPort cut their deficit to just a single point, 111-110, with less than a minute left. The ever reliable Jayson Castro again showcased his veteran moves as he drilled a triple in clutch time which gave them enough breathing space, and eventually, their sixth win of the conference.

Mikey Williams had 27 points and connected five of ten from beyond the arc, while RR Pogoy had 22 points with four triples. Poy Erram posted 17 points and 14 boards, while Jayson Castro added his own 17 points.

Jamie Malonzo had 27 points while Roi Sumang also went hot with five of nine from downtown to make a total of 24 points. Rookie JM Calma had 16 points while Kevin Ferrer tallied 14 markers.

The streaking TNT Tropang Giga (6-2) will play Terrafirma Dyip on Friday while NorthPort (2-4) will try to end their four-game skid when they go against the San Miguel Beermen on Saturday.
