Meralco dominates Terrafirma as Dyip caps winless Philippine Cup campaign

The Meralco Bolts dominated Terrafirma Dyip, 105-89, to end their elimination round games in the 2022 PBA Philippine Cup on Thursday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Five players from the Bolts scored in twin digits as Chris Newsome registered 19 points, six rebounds, and five assists. Aaron Black had 16 points, five rebounds, and five assists, while Raymond Almazan flirted with a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds. Allein Maliksi also had 14 points while Bong Quinto added 13 points.

Aldrech Ramos' 24-point output for Terrafirma went to naught in the loss. Andreas Cahilig and Joshua Munzon added 13 points each.

The loss capped Terrafirma's winless campaign in the All-Filipino conference, while the Bolts ended the eliminations with a 7-4 card.
