UP wallops CSB by 56 to remain unbeaten in Filoil action

University of the Philippines kept its unbeaten slate intact after coming away with a 117-61 blowout of College of Saint Benilde in the FilOil EcoOil 15th Preseason Cup on Wednesday at the FilOil EcoOil Centre.

With the massive victory, the UAAP Season 84 champions remained unblemished with a 4-0 win-loss card in Group A while CSB dropped to 1-2.

RC Calimag led the Katipunan school as he shone with 21 points while Henry Galinato starred with a near double-double of 16 markers and nine rebounds as UP continued its winning streak.

Carl Tamayo and Harold Alarcon each had a 14-point outing while the returning Zav Lucero chimed in with 11 markers.

Earlier, Jerom Lastimosa led Adamson University to a 68-61 triumph over University of Perpetual Help System DALTA to bag its third win in as many games.

Lastimosa finished with 18 points to steer the Soaring Falcons while Joem Sabandal and Vince Magbuhos registered 10 markers each. The Altas, who dropped to 1-2, was led by Cyrus Nitura and Jielo Razon who collected 16 and 15 points respectively.
