As Jalen Green heads into his sophomore year with the Houston Rockets in the NBA, the Fil-Am player said one of the things he wants to instill in the young team is a winning mentality.

In a press conference on Thursday, Green admitted that the last season was rough for the Rockets, which ended the season with a 20-62 card.

Asked about the things he would like to improve for the next season, Green said he wants to "make decisions faster and just [learn] how to win."

"My mindset is just to go in and give the best version of myself on and off the court, try to build a winning mentality," he added.

Green himself admitted that the Rockets are in a rebuilding phase and a winning mentality will eventually help them.

"We're a very young team so we're kind of rebuilding right now, trying to get everyone on the same pace, trying to grow in the right direction,"

During his rookie season, the Fil-Am player averaged 17.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game.
