By JUSTIN KENNETH CARANDANG

The Bay Area Dragons secured a playoff bonus after routing the TNT Tropang Giga, 140-108, on Wednesday in the 2022 PBA Commissioner's Cup at the PhilSports Arena.

The Dragons showed pure dominance in the game as they scored 46 points in the second quarter against TNT's 36 to end the first half with a 20-point lead, 80-60. It was all Bay Area from there until the final buzzer.

Myles Powell tallied 37 markers while Kobey Lam registered 30 points in Bay Area's 10th win in 12 games.

The win spoiled TNT import Matthew Mobley's 38-point output for the Tropang Giga.

Bay Area will wait for the ending of the elimination round to determine their playoffs pairing.

Meanwhile, TNT (4-7) which is currently in tenth place, will go against San Miguel on Saturday to cap their elimination round campaign.
