Adamson's Jerom Lastimosa to seize opportunity playing against Ateneo in UAAP Final Four

After missing the Final Four in Seasons 82 and 84, Adamson University is back in the UAAP playoffs and for Jerom Lastimosa, he will seize the opportunity given to them.

Adamson defeated De La Salle University, 80-76, to take the last Final Four spot on Sunday.

“We’re happy kasi kasi almost four years rin kaming hindi nakapasok sa Final Four. Now andito na kami sa Final Four, so i-grab namin 'tong opportunity na ito and focus on the next game and really pag-aralan talaga namin ‘yong Ateneo both offense and defense,” said Lastimosa.

With Lastimosa's 22 points, half of which came in the third quarter, six assists, and a steal in the playoff game against La Salle, the guard earned the Collegiate Press Corps UAAP Player of the Week, his second straight citation for the season.

Lastimosa bested Ateneo de Manila's Kai Ballungay and De La Salle University's Evan Nelle in the award presented by the Philippine Sports Commission and San Miguel Corporation, and backed by minor sponsors MNL Kingpin, Tinapayan Festival, and Jockey. The distinction was deliberated upon by the print and online media covering the league regularly.

Adamson will face Ateneo de Manila, while University of the Philippines will go against National University in the Final Four games scheduled on Wednesday.
