NLEX terminates JR Quiñahan's contract due to contract infractions

The NLEX Road Warriors announced on Saturday that they have terminated veteran player JR Quiñahan's contract in the PBA.

The team said that upon investigation, Quiñahan has committed "several infractions of his Uniform Players' Contract, including, among others, playing in unsanctioned games without seeking clearance from NLEX management and the Philippine Basketball Association."

With this, the team said the veteran player may now sign with any other PBA team.

Quiñahan was among those who were slapped with fines by the PBA due to their 'ligang labas' stints. The NLEX player was fined P50,000 and an additional P20,000 due to his involvement in a brawl in an unsanctioned game in Cebu.
