By GMA Integrated News

Carl Tamayo is a champion once again, this time in an international professional league.

The Ryukyu Golden Kings took home the championship in Game 2 of the best-of-three B.League Finals after taking down the Chiba Jets, 88-73, on Sunday at the Yokohama Arena.

Tamayo, however, was again sidelined in Game 2 of the Finals. Koh Flippin had 21 points, eight assists, and three rebounds for the Golden Kings, while Jack Cooley had 19 points and 15 rebounds.

Aside from Tamayo, former PBA import Allen Durham was also a part of the champion team, as he posted 13 points and seven rebounds.

In Game 1, Ryukyu outlasted the Jets, 96-93, in double overtime, as Tamayo again was not fielded.

Tamayo joined Ryukyu early this year after his stint in the University of the Philippines where they won the championship and ended an almost four-decade title drought in Season 84.
