Timothy Bradley has heard the rumors of a Pacquiao-Marquez IV but if you were to ask the reigning WBO welterweight champ, that isn't the route Manny Pacquiao ought to go. "I don't think that's the way it should go," the undefeated fighter told MyDesert.com on Tuesday (Wednesday, PHL time) in an hour-long interview. "I think the fight [with Pacquiao] was really close, it could have gone either way. "I'm all for it [the rematch]. November 10, let's do it. November or December, if he wants to do the rematch, why not? All this [controversy] would be taken away. Let's do the rematch and settle it once and for all." Despite his comments coming before the WBO announced that upon review, Pacquiao had won the fight, Bradley isn't about to back down on the belief that he rightfully defeated the Filipino ring icon. The controversial split decision that got him the welterweight belt has resulted in a firestorm of controversy, with even US senators reacting to it, expressing their desire for a special boxing commission. "Man I'm about to be a part of history," Bradley said jokingly. "They're trying to get legislation out, this is great." But on a serious note, Bradley said he is all for such oversight, adding, "We need someone overlooking all of this and what's going on as far as promoters and the fighters. "The fighters need to be taken care of right so they're not treated like garbage. Will it be hard to do? Yeah. You can't even get drug testing under control in boxing….If they can pull it off, I'm all for it." Should Pacquiao-Marquez IV indeed push through though, Bradley is thinking of another big-name boxer to dispatch, one Floyd "Money" Mayweather. "If he doesn't want to face me, he doesn't have to," said Bradley. "He's all about money....If it doesn't make money, it doesn't make sense. "That would be his take: 'What kind of fans are you going to bring to it, Bradley?' Me having a small fan base, that would jeopardize me fighting him. But I'm all for it. "I would love to face him because I feel he needs to learn too." Even prior to getting into the ring with Pacquiao last June 9 (June 10, PHL time), Bradley had already been boasting that the Sarangani congressman would have to cash in on the rematch clause found in his contract. After the controversial result though, Bob Arum, promoter of both fighters, was skittish on invoking said clause, due to fears that no one would want to watch it. Top Rank president Todd DuBoef also said that the public would need to trust boxing again before the two climb into the ring to face off anew. - AMD, GMA News
