MMA star Ronda Rousey rooting for Pacquiao against Mayweather

Manny Pacquiao will have major girl power on his side when he faces Floyd Mayweather on May 2 in Las Vegas.

 

UFC women's champion Ronda Rousey, one of the biggest stars in mixed martial arts, said she will be cheering on the Filipino fight icon for the mega-fight.

 

"Pacquiao has been very, very nice to me so I’m going to root for him," Rousey told TMZ.

 

The unbeaten Rousey defended her title this weekend with a sensational 14-second victory over Cat Zingano via her trademark armbar.

 

Before the fight, Rousey said she had extra motivation for beating Zingano: to buy tickets for the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight, whose prices have been skyrocketing.

 

"I really want to go so bad," Rousey said. "I gotta go beat Cat Zingano so I can make a couple million dollars and afford that ticket." —JST, GMA News
