Pacquiao reveals: My kids pushed me to fight Mayweather

Apparently, even Manny Pacquiao's children wanted their father to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr.

"My son and my daughter, they really want this fight [to] happen. They really want to watch the fight," the Filipino ring icon told CNN in an interview.

Negotiations for the highly-anticipated megafight between the best pound-for-pound boxers of the generation began in 2010, but talks fell through several times due to various issues.

The bout was finally made a reality this year thanks to a chance encounter between the two boxers in a Miami Heat game, but Pacquiao said his kids wanted it to happen years ago.

"Three years ago [they said] 'Daddy, I want you to fight Mayweather. I want you to fight Mayweather.' I said, 'Why? It's not my fault. He doesn't want to fight,'" Pacman said.

"And now finally now it finally happened. They really, really want to watch the fight," he added.

The Sarangani representative said he will take his children to the MGM Grand Garden Arena in order to watch the biggest fight of his career from the front row.
