Marquez trainer bares gameplan for Pacquiao against Mayweather

Juan Manuel Marquez' Hall of Fame trainer Nacho Beristain has a game plan in mind on how Manny Pacquiao can beat Floyd Mayweather on May 2.

"Manny's strategy must be pure, concentrated pressure with speed and also with intelligence," Beristain told a group of reporters in a WBC press conference held in Mexico.

"Manny must use speed and feline movement. Manny must fight like a wildcat."

Beristain had plenty of encounters against Pacquiao in the past, having worked the corner of Marquez four times. The trainer also worked with Oscar De La Hoya when he fought the Filipino ring icon in 2008.

Throughout the years, Beristain developed a deep respect and admiration for Pacquiao. He thinks that Mayweather will emerge victorious come fight night but he's rooting for Pacquiao all the way.

"I think Floyd Mayweather will win. But my heart is with Manny Pacquiao," said Beristain.

"Manny is a spectacular fighter who people pay to watch with delight. Floyd is truly excellent, but his style is defensive which isn't attractive for many people." - RAF, GMA News
