Mayweather: I'm coming back to fight Pacquiao

Floyd Mayweather has declared that he will be coming out of retirement to face Manny Pacquiao in the ring again.

The unbeaten boxing superstar made the announcement on Instagram on Saturday.

"I’m coming back to fight Manny Pacquiao this year another 9 figure pay day on the way @mayweatherpromotions" Mayweather said.

Pacquiao, for his part, had a rather laconic response on his Twitter account.

Referring to Mayweather's 50 wins-zero loses record, the Philippines' fighting senator wrote "50-1" with the hastag "no excuses".

Mayweather defeated Pacquiao in their much-awaited megafight in 2015. Mayweather has only fought three times since, the last against MMA fighter Conor McGregor last year.

Pacquiao has been more active, seeing action in a knockout win against Lucas Matthysse in July. —JST, GMA News
