MP Promotions president: ‘Eumir Marcial is special’

Manny Pacquiao’s MP Promotions is thrilled that they have been chosen by Olympic hopeful Eumir Marcial as his promoter.

After getting courted by several other promotions, Marcial, who is bound for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, opted to sign with MP Promotions to guide him in his boxing journey.

And since professional boxers are now allowed to compete in the Olympics, MP Promotions is now looking to host Marcial’s pro debut this fall in the USA.

“MP Promotions is thrilled to be selected by Eumir to guide his boxing career,” said MP Promotions president Sean Gibbons.

“Senator Pacquiao’s goal at MP Promotions is to give as many Filipino boxers access to the biggest platforms in the US and around the world, and create the best opportunities to succeed in boxing like the ones Manny has enjoyed over the last 25 years.”

Marcial will be the promotion’s first Olympian as he joins the ranks of world champions in Jerwin Ancajas, John Riel Casimero, and Pedro Taduran.

The goal for Marcial is clear, make him a pro boxing world champion and help him bag the country’s first Olympic gold medal next year.

“We have followed Eumir through the amateurs and he is special. His dedication to boxing, his family, and the country of the Philippines is very strong. MP Promotions is proud to be guiding its first Olympian,” Gibbons said.

“We will make sure his journey to the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo is a smooth one as we help Eumir achieve his dual dream of winning Olympic gold and a professional world title for his father and the Philippines.”
