Manny Pacquiao lays down his demand before fighting Conor McGregor

Eight-division champion Manny Pacquiao has laid down one important condition before he enters the ring with mixed martial arts superstar Conor McGregor.

Talks of a potential showdown between the two erupted last weekend when both camps confirmed that they are negotiating for a fight to happen next year.

Speculations of a fight between the two combat sports icons started early this year when Pacquiao signed with the same management firm first as McGregor.

But in a statement released to Daily Mail, Pacquiao revealed that he is no longer working with the California-based firm.

“At the present time, I do not have an existing management contract with Paradigm Sports Management,” said Pacquiao.

“I have formed my own company, Pac Sports and Entertainment, and am more than willing to give the fans what they want: An exciting fight with Conor McGregor under terms and conditions where I am the co-promoter with my company.”

It will be McGregor’s second pro boxing fight should the showdown come to fruition. He made his pro debut against Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2017 where he lost by way of 10th-round technical knockout. – JM Siasat/RC, GMA News
