Mike Tyson vows to keep fighting after going 8 rounds with Roy Jones Jr.

Former heavyweight world champion Mike Tyson plans to keep fighting after going the distance against his fellow boxing legend Roy Jones Jr.

Tyson and Jones featured in an exhibition bout consisting of eight two-minute rounds on Sunday that saw the match end in an unofficial draw.

The 54-year-old Tyson showed flashes of his old self as he went to attack the head and body from start to finish while showcasing that he still has the head movement and footwork at his age. Satisfied with his performance, Tyson aims to be even more impressive in his next bout.

“I'm happy I'm not knocked out or anything. I'll be better at the next one. I could have done everything better. God willing I'll be better the next exhibition,” said Tyson after the fight.

“I was just happy to go the distance with him. That's real fighting, having the endurance. You're not going to knock everybody out. I used to go for the quick kill. I'm training for distance now. I don't expect to win. I expect to go eight rounds and entertain the crowd.”

Prior to his comeback, Tyson said that he plans to donate his earnings to charity and plans to keep doing for as long as he can.

“I'm very happy I did this. I will do it again,” he quipped.

“Anything is possible. The sky is the limit. I'm capable of helping a lot of people all over the world.” — BM, GMA News
