Canelo Alvarez and Callum Smith make weight for world title clash

The world championship showdown between pound-for-pound king Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez and The RING and WBA world super middleweight champion Callum Smith is official after both fighters made weight for the contest.

Both Canelo (53-1-2, 36KOs) and Smith (27-0, 19KOs) tipped the scale at the super middleweight limit of 168 pounds.

The upcoming fight will mark both fighters’ first bout this year which will be witnessed by a live audience amid the pandemic at the Alamodome in Texas on December 20. —KG, GMA News
