Muhammad Ali's grandson Nico Ali Walsh wins second pro bout via TKO

By JM SIASAT

Nico Ali Walsh, the grandson of the late all-time great Muhammad Ali, scored his second victory as a pro with a third-round TKO over James Westley II this Sunday at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, USA.

Ali Walsh pranced in the opening round, looking to land his shots but found himself on the receiving end of Westley’s punches. Ali Walsh was on the attack the next stanza, dropping his foe with a right straight that landed down the pipe before the end of round two.

Ali Walsh came out guns blazing in round three, which allowed him to score a second knockdown. Westley was able to beat the count and wanted to continue, but his corner had seen enough and opted to wave the white flag.

“I am happy my pro debut went the way it did, and I am happy this fight went the way it did. There are things that need to be worked out,” said Ali Walsh.

“I know the crowd got excited seeing him land a punch, but I truly did not feel the punch. I am blessed that I am following the legacy of my grandfather.”

Ali Walsh, who made his pro debut last August, improved his record to 2-0 with 2 knockouts.
