Petecio, Filipino boxers punch finals tickets in Cambodia SEA Games

Filipino Olympic silver medalist Nesthy Petecio and four more boxers punched tickets to their respective final matches on Wednesday in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia.

The judges favored Nesthy's showing against local bet Vy Sreysros in the women's 57kg division, while her brother Norlan won, 4-1, against Singapore's Jun Jie Tan in the men's 67kg division.

Rogen Ladon (men's 51 kg), Ian Clark Bautista (men's 57 kg), John Marvin (Men's 80 kg), will also advance to their final matches, assuring them of at least a silver medal.

On Thursday, Olympic silver medalist Carlo Paalam will also try to advance in the men's 54kg finals, along with compatriots Paul Bascon (men's 60kg) and Markus Tongco (men's 92kg).
