Game starts at 2pm. Page auto-refreshes every 30 seconds. The University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers shoot for six straight wins, while the Adamson University Soaring Falcons seek their first victory post-Alex Nuyles injury, in the second to the last game of the first round of the UAAP Season 75 tourney, Sunday at 2pm, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum The Tigers are still the hottest team of the league, disposing of an upset-minded UP Fighting Maroons team last Wednesday, 68-58, to earn their fifth victory in a row. It was also the second game in a row they've emerged on top despite star player Jeric Teng being sidelined with an MCL injury. UST closed things out with a 13-4 run after the Maroons had creeped to within a point, 55-54. Karim Abdul and Clark Bautista were the catalysts for that endgame run, scoring all but two points in that blast. Adamson meanwhile made a late attempt at a comeback versus the University of the East Red Warriors, but fell short in the end despite a 28-19 fourth period, losing 71-66. After an extended fourth quarter stint at the foul line saw the Falcons convert 9-of-10 charities, the team's luck went right out at the window, as they proceeded to go 3-for-10 in the period's latter section. They were also unable to stop the rampaging UE point guard Roi Sumang, who lit up his opponents by scoring eight of the Red Warriors' last 10 markers. With UST currently on top of the scoring charts, norming 76.2 markers per game, and Adamson at the bottom, with just 61.3, it'll be up to the Falcons to try to slow the Tigers down, and snap the run of Coach Pido Jarencio's charges. - AMD, GMA News Season 74 history lesson
