Jihin Radzuan submits Jomary Torres, Michelle Nicolini beats Angela Lee

Filipina atomweight Jomary Torres suffered yet another blow in his professional MMA career following a first-round submission defeat at the hands of Jihin Radzuan at ONE: Masters of Destiny Friday night at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Torres came out guns blazing in the opening round before she was eventually taken to the ground by Radzuan. She tried to force her way out of the triangle choke, but ultimately tapped at the 3:07 mark of round one.

In the co-main event, Michelle Nicolini scored the biggest win of her career after she defeated the reigning ONE atomweight world champion Angela Lee by way of unanimous decision.

Nicolini was relentless on her grappling from the get go, as she never let up on her takedown and submission attempts throughout the contest. Lee had her moments here and there, but Nicolini was clearly ahead on the scorecards going to the final bell.

All three judges saw the fight for Nicolini after three five-minute rounds, improving her mixed martial arts record to 6-2 while Lee fell to 9-2. —LDF, GMA News
