Jarvey Gayoso joins Kaya FC-Iloilo

Kaya FC-Iloilo is seriously hunting its first-ever Philippines Football League (PFL) crown.

In the team's latest move, it has sealed and signed rising striker Jarvey Gayoso who's coming off a stellar PFL debut last year with the Azkals Development Team after he prematurely ended his college stint with Ateneo in 2020.

Kaya FC announced the huge development on its Facebook account on Sunday

, saying the former UAAP standout will join the team next season as a forward.

Gayoso led the Blue Eagles to a pair of UAAP titles and was named a two-time Most Valuable Player and four-time Best Striker.

The 24-year-old budding booter is also a mainstay for the national team after having seen action for the Azkals Under-22 team that competed in the 2017 Southeast Asian Games and as well as its 2019 edition here.

Currently, Gayoso is part of the national team that is waging war in the joint qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup and 2023 AFC Asian Cup in UAE.

He would be a big boost to a Kaya FC side that finished the 2020 season with a 3-2-0 win-draw-loss card just behind champion United City FC who wrapped the tournament with a 4-0-1.

Last season, Gayoso was among the bright spots for ADT after contributing four goals and three assists.
