Kaya FC suffers fourth straight loss in AFC Champions League

Kaya FC-Iloilo failed to gain some revenge on defending AFC Champions League champion Ulsan Hyundai as the team suffered another blow to their campaign Monday night.

It was a better outing for Kaya, as they were able to score one goal in a 2-1 loss to the South Korean powerhouse team, in the group stage being held in Bangkok, Thailand.

Prior to Monday's clash, Kaya fell prey to Ulsan, 3-0, last Friday as they continued to struggle with the high level of competition in the prestigious meet.

With them in the group are defending AFC CL champions Ulsan, Thai champions BG Pathum United FC and Vietnam champions Viettel FC.

The defeat brought Kaya deeper in the standings with a 0-0-4 win-draw-loss card while Ulsan owns the top seat with a spotless 4-0-0 record.

The win also stretched Ulsan's winning streak to a record 13 games, which dates back to their title-clinching campaign last season.

Jovin Bedic was the lone scorer in the game after he converted in the 47th mark of the game but the Filipinos were not able to follow it in the succeeding minutes.

They will next face BG Pathum United on Thursday in a bid to score their first win in the competition.
