The Philippine national women's football team put up a gallant stand but fell to Australia, 4-0, in the 2022 AFC Women's Asian Cup in India.

After a goalless first half which saw the Philippines' strong defense against the Matildas, Chelsea FC Women's Sam Kerr scored their first goal at the 51' mark.

Unfortunately, just two minutes after the first goal, Kyah Simon scored the second one, which was an own goal credited to Dominique Randle.
