Fans welcome Filipinas in homecoming from historic FIFA Women's World Cup campaign

Filipino fans welcomed the Philippine national women's football team as some of its members arrived in Manila on Wednesday from their historic run in the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.

In a report by Unang Balita on Thursday, fans with posters and photos of the Filipinas welcomed the members of the squad in the airport, days after the national team capped their campaign in New Zealand.

The Filipinas thanked those who supported them in their maiden appearance in the World Cup.

The Philippine team had its first goal and World Cup win against New Zealand, but fell to Switzerland and Norway during their group stage matches.
