Alex Eala may become one of world's highest-paid female athletes, says Forbes report

Alexandra “Alex” Eala could become one of the highest-paid female athletes in the world in the coming years, according to a Forbes report.

In its cover story, “The Inside Story of Tennis Phenom Alex Eala’s Rise and Rise,” Forbes estimated that Eala has already earned more than $5 million in off-court earnings, before taxes and fees, with that figure expected to grow as her profile continues to rise.

“I feel very confident that by 2027, she will be the second-highest-paid female athlete in the world, behind Coco [Gauff],” Max Eisenbud, head of client representation at WME Sports and its subsidiary IMG Tennis, told Forbes.

How much has Eala earned in her career?

Prior to the ongoing US Open, Eala had already earned $3,045,990 in career prize money, according to the WTA website, with more than half of that amount coming in 2026 alone.

Gauff, meanwhile, has approximately $33 million from on court and off-court deals in 2025, according to a WTA report.

Eala also has an apparel deal with Nike, along with sponsorship deals with Philippine companies Globe Telecom and Bank of the Philippine Islands.

“It’s safe to say, in the Philippines, she just needs to be breathing,” Eisenbud said. “She never needs to win another tennis match; she’s crazy famous there.”

How does Eala manage her finances?

Despite her growing earnings and endorsement portfolio, Eala has previously said that she is mindful of her finances and invests for her future.

“My first big investment in general, not just with my earnings from Wimbledon but my earnings in general, I invest in my future. I save a lot of money,” Eala previously said.

“I love to save when it comes to certain things. So, when it comes to, for example, luxury items, I save and I make smart decisions before I buy something, a luxury item,” she added.
