Three Philippine dragon boat teams will be looking to prove their worth in what is set to be the largest-ever Hong Kong Dragon Boat Carnival, set for July 2 to 8 in the waters of Victoria Harbour. The De La Salle University Dragon Boat Team and the Triton Dragon Boat Racing Team will both be competing in the Standard Boat Division, while the Rowers Club Philippines Sea Dragon, Inc. takes up the challenge in the Small Boat Division. The three-year old carnival sees the return of the Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races, now in its 37th year, and will also host the Lee Kum Kee 8th IDF Club Crew World Championships, one of the sport's most important championships. More than 6,000 dragon boat athletes are expected to take part in the event, held in Victoria Harbour, off Tsim Sha Tsui East. - AMD, GMA News
