Kristina Knott bags gold, sets record anew in women's 200m dash

Kristina Knott set the Southeast Asian Games record anew as she bagged the gold medal in the women's 200m dash on Saturday at the New Clark City Athletics Stadium.

The sprinter broke the SEA Games record set by Thailand's Supavadee Khawpeag in 2001 after running 23.07 seconds during the heats. Her time also broke the national record set by Lydia de Vega, which stood for 33 years.

Tu Chinh Le of Vietnam grabbed the silver with 23.45 seconds while Singapore's Veronica Shanti Pereira clocked in 23.77 for the bronze.

In the 4X400m mixed relay, Maureen Emily Schrijvers, Robyn Lauren Brown, Edgardo Alejan, and Reymond Alferos took the bronze.
