EJ Obiena captures silver in virtual pole vault tourney, his 3rd medal in 2 weeks

Filipino pole vaulter EJ Obiena is on a roll as he bagged his third medal in just two weeks.

The Tokyo-bound athlete captured the silver medal in the FINEst Pole Vaulter in the World competition on Monday after clearing the 5.60-meter mark.

Brazil's Thiago Braz cleared 5.70 meters to get the gold, while USA's Matt Ludwig settled for bronze with 5.35 meters.

"It has been a fruitful two weeks with 3 medals, but the gold remains elusive, hope to get them in the coming competitions," the athletics star wrote on Facebook.
