Rower Cris Nievarez considers stint in Tokyo Olympics a learning experience

For Filipino rower Cris Nievarez, his stint in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics is a learning experience.

In a Facebook post on Friday, the rower talked about his realizations in the Summer Games.

"This Olympics made me realize na hindi lang basta puwede na, laban lang, okay na 'yan," Nievarez wrote in his post. "

"You need to have proper preparation before you compete in high-level competitions such as the Olympics," he said in Filipino.

Nievarez also believes he gave his best in his competitions, but there is still room for improvement.

"But still , [I am] happy [with] the results: 23rd out of 32 competitors. I've learned a lot in this competition and I hope this will help me to come back stronger."
