After Olympics stint, Carlos Yulo already looking forward to becoming better

Filipino gymnast Carlos Yulo is already looking forward to doing better in the future.

This, after Yulo put together an impressive finish in the men's vault finals, despite not being his pet event.

“Gusto kong magpalakas. Feeling ko po may igagaling pa ako,” said Yulo, who is looking to compete in the All-Japan Seniors next month.

“Hindi po muna ako makakauwi sa Pilipinas dahil may competition po ako next month. Gusto ko na nga pong bumawi,” said the gymnast.

Yulo said he had regrets from his performance as his score of 14.716 was 0.067 shy of the score of gold medalist and South Korea representative Jeahwan Shin.

"Wala na po tayo magagawa doon," Yulo said.

"Sobrang lapit ko na po. May chance po na makakuha ng medal kung hindi po ako lumagpas," with the gymnast referring to his landing outside the pad during his first vault.

“Nakakahinayang lang po kasi ang ganda ng second vault ko."

Still, Yulo impressed many as he even trended on Twitter after his performance.
