Pagdanganan fires 71, Saso improves with 3-under par in second round of Olympic golf

Philippine golf bets Bianca Pagdanganan and Yuka Saso have wrapped their respective second round runs in the women's individual stroke event at the Tokyo Olympics Thursday at the Kasumigaseki Country Club.

Although Pagdanganan slipped 20 places lower than her 7th place finish on Wednesday, it was still an impressive day for the 23-year-old golfer.

She scored a birdie on the fifth, sixth, and nine holes but bogeyed on the seventh and eighth holes.

Overall, Pagdanganan finished with 10 pars in the 71-par course for 71. As of writing, Pagdanganan is at joint 27th place with Perrine Delacour of France and Albane Valenzuela of  Switzerland.

She is also still 2-under par through two rounds with a total of 140.

Meanwhile, Saso hit five birdies in holes 6, 8, 14, 16, and 18 and was able to fire 11 pars and two bogeys for a 3-under par in the second round.

Currently, the 2021 US Women's Open champion is in 34th place where she is tied with four other golfers.

Pagdanganan finished the first round atop at 7th place while Saso struggled with 3-over par to wind up in 47th place.
