Tokyo Olympic medalists Diaz, Petecio, Paalam, Marcial show off medals

That’s one proud flex!

The 2020 Tokyo Olympics medalists Hidilyn Diaz (gold), Nesthy Petecio (silver), Carlo Paalam (silver), and Eumir Marcial (bronze) on Monday came together for a photo and showed off their Olympic medals on Monday.

In photos posted on Tuesday by Diaz, and credited to the Philippine Sports Commission’s (PSC) Marc Velasco, the four medalists gamely posed with their medals at the Malacañang Palace.

The four of them on Monday personally received awards and cash incentives after their successful stint in Japan.

Aside from the four, 1996 Atlanta Olympics silver medalist Mansueto ‘Onyok’ Velasco and the other Tokyo 2020 qualifiers were also recognized in the ceremony.

The Philippines had its best finish in the Summer Games after getting one gold, two silvers, and a bronze medal in Tokyo.
