Guide proposes to para athlete after race in Paralympics

Love is also in the air in the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics.

On Thursday, Manuel Antonio Vaz da Veiga, the guide of Cape Verde athlete Keula Nidreia Pereira Semedo, proposed marriage right after they finished the heat round of the women's 200-meter T-11 event.

The other competitors in the heat were present when Vaz da Veiga proposed to Pereira Semedo.

Unfortunately, the couple did not advance to the finals of the said event after finishing 14th overall, with only the top 8 being qualified to the medal round.

Congratulations to the newly-engaged couple!
