TNC scores huge upset with sweep of Bren

TNC Pro Team played like veterans against their acknowledged mentors as they blanked Bren Esports, 2-0, in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 8 elimination round on Saturday.

The win helped TNC barge into the top half of the standings with 6pts (2-1) while keeping Bren at the bottom at 1pt (0-3), its worst start in franchise history.

Bren, the M2 world champs, controlled majority of the early goings in Game 1, securing all three turtles buffs and taking the first lord in the 9th minute but TNC quickly countered with Frediemar "3MarTzy" Serafico (X-Borg) scoring a double kill in the ensuing clash, including a takedown of the opposing core hero Karl "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno (Benedetta).

The MPL sophomores then slowly chipped away their gold deficit and culminated with pressure on Bren after a 17th minute double kill courtesy of Shemaiah "Chuuu" Chu (Ling) in the lord clash, leading to a luminous lord take that helped the "students" take the lead over their "teachers", 1-0.

Chuuu had a flawless 5-0-5 KDA while 3MarTzy finished with a 3-0-3 KDA to lead the dominant TNC win. They outplayed their heated match-ups against prodigious KarlTzy (1-5-3 KDA) and David Charles "FlapTzy" Canon's Gloo (0-3-2 KDA).

TNC did not let up in Game 2 as they slowly dismantled the Season 6 champs and delivered a methodical win in 16minutes.

It was so dominant for TNC that they managed to score a 12-3 kill lead and surrendered only one outer turret all game long.
