Blacklist pitted against North America's BTK to open M3 upper bracket playoffs; Onic PH faces RSG SG

SINGAPORE—Two Philippine teams will kick off their respective campaigns in the highly-anticipated Mobile Legends: Bang Bang M3 World Championships playoff round here.

Blacklist International, dubbed as one of the strong title contenders after going undefeated in the group stage, will face North American squad BloodThirstyKings to usher in the first round of the upper bracket.

The Tier One-owned team will play BTK in a best-of-five series on Saturday, December 11, at 2 p.m. at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre.

BTK, the first-ever North American squad repping the region in the global championships, finished with a 2-1 card to wind up second in Group C, where EVOS SG nailed a 3-0 slate.

BTK, bannered by Victor, FwydChickn, SHARK, MobaZane, and ZIA, booked its slot to M3 after ruling in  the Mobile Legends: World Championship North American Qualifier.

Meanwhile, another Filipino squad is also in a hunt for the coveted M3 trophy.

Onic Philippines will face home bet RSG Singapore in a best-of-five series as well on Sunday, December 12, at 2 p.m. at the same venue.

Onic PH fell to sister team Onic Esports of Indonesia during its opener but roared back and went on to top Group B after defeating Todak and Keyd Stars. It will be pitted against RSG SG which finished second in Group D.

Both Blacklist and Onic PH are seeking to replicate the success of another Filipino team, Bren Esports, which ruled the M2 World Championships early this year.
