Onic PH bounces back in Week 2 with sweep of Bren

Onic Philippines recovered from a surprising loss to Nexplay Evos in Week 1 by clobbering Bren Esports, 2-0, to stay in the top 4 of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 9 on Saturday.

After a 0-2 loss to NXPE, Onic has now scored their 2nd win to hike their points total to five, good for a tie for 4th in the standings. Bren on the other hand suffered from a third straight loss, all via sweep.

Kenneth “Saxa” Fedelin (Lancelot) waxed hot early, taking a 2-0-0 KDA by the 3rd minute to helpi Bren take a 2k gold lead.

But Onic responded by taking six unanswered kills capped by a 3-0 wipe in the 11th minute  to pull ahead and take control.

The three-time MPL runners-up used a 15th minute luminous lord take to finally take the opener, 1-0.

It was another close game early in Game 2 until Onic conceded the lord in the 9th minute but retaliated with a 4-1 take down to establish control.

Onic then converted a 2-0 pickoff in the 13th minute into a luminuous lord take as the M3 runners-up cruised to a sweep on the back of Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol's (Ling) 7-1-6 KDA.
