Dana White looks to pit Jon Jones against former heavyweight champ Stipe Miocic

UFC president Dana White has an opponent in mind for ex-UFC light heavyweight world champion Jon Jones’ heavyweight debut.

In an interview with TMZ, White revealed that he would like to see Jones at UFC 276 in a prospective matchup against former UFC heavyweight world champion Stipe Miocic.

“People have been talking about how awesome this card is and I was just telling somebody the other day our lineup for this summer is incredible,” said White.

“So I’m hoping that Jon Jones is gonna be a part of that lineup this summer. Stipe (Miocic) makes sense.”

Jones, 26-1 as a professional mixed martial artist, last fought in February 2020 against Dominick Reyes where he won via unanimous decision.

He vacated the UFC light heavyweight world title soon after amid a dispute with the UFC then expressed his desire to move up to the heavyweight division after. — LA, GMA News
