Echo's Arcadia on MPL PH S9 exit: 'Simula pa lang to, hindi pa kami susuko'

By JOHN EDISON UBALDO

Disappointment.

This mood was resounding as Echo surprisingly crashed out of the Mobile Legends Bang Bang Professional League PH Season 9 playoffs despite leading the standings for the majority of the regular season before faltering in the final stretch.

"We're very disappointed dun sa nangyari. Three games siya na puro comeback. Syempre, pag comeback sobrang sakit talaga," said Coach Michael "Arcadia" Bocado who was visibly affected by the loss.

Echo came out on top in the early game battles against Omega but just couldn't find the right moves to finish off the pesky Omega squad.

"Talagang di lang namin na close out yung mga siege namin. Pagdating sa lord, doon kami madalas nakacomeback," he said.

The loss looked like a huge disappointment for a team that was dubbed as the "super team" coming into the season with the solid acquisitions of Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno (jungler), Frediemar “3MarTzy” Serafico (exp laner) and Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera (roamer).

The team lived up to their moniker early on, winning six of their first seven regular season matches, until they struggled in the late season with three straight losses.

"Kahit ako napatahimik (sa pagkatalo). Kasi binigay talaga namin lahat this season. Lahat ng players ko, binigyan ko silang ng individual challenges. Lahat talaga sila nagstep-up para magawa yung mga challenges na yun," Arcadia said.

But amidst the disappointment, Coach Arcadia remains positive and has his wards back.

"Malungkot yung mood namin at the moment pero hindi kami susuko. Masakit rin talaga sakin yung pagkatalo pero sinabi ko sa kanila na simula pa lang to. Hindi pa kami susuko."
