Former Onic PH member reveals M3 World Championship cash prize not yet released to players; team source says release expected by next week

By JOHN EDISON UBALDO

Former Onic Philippines roamer Paul "Beemo" Sergio revealed in a TV guesting that their prize winnings from the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang M3 World Championship amounting to about six million pesos has not yet been disbursed to the players since finishing runner-up in December 2021.

In a guesting on the "Bawal Judgemental" segment of GMA's Eat Bulaga, he was asked by the hosts about his other goals for his competition prize winnings, and Beemo implied that he had yet to receive his share from the world championship, which was held about five months ago.

"'Yung makukuha naming prize noong nag-Singapore kami.....P6 million (referring to their total cash prize)," he started.

Beemo continued stating that the amount will be divided among eight members of the team.

A source within Onic PH confirmed that the prize has not been released, though it is expected either by the end of this week or early next week.

The source told GMA News Online that the delay has something do with their contracts that can not be disclosed publicly.

Onic PH finished as runner-up during the M3 World championship behind fellow Filipinos Blacklist International. They finished in fourth place in the MPL Philippines Season 9 which concluded early May 2022.
